Terms of use

Effective date: 30 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Cubeshell LLC ("we", "us"), which provides Muspace. They cover the Muspace app for iPhone and Android (listed in the App Store and Google Play as "Muspace: Quran Simplified") and the website at muspace.org.

By using Muspace you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Muspace.

If you downloaded Muspace from the App Store, Apple's standard end-user licence agreement applies together with these terms. If you downloaded it from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms.

2. Using Muspace

Muspace is a free app that helps you read the Quran and understand it. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own use.

You do not need an account to read, like, save or share, and this version has no accounts. Muspace is not directed at children.

The Muspace app, logo and design belong to Cubeshell or its licensors. The Quran text, translations and scholars' works belong to their publishers and holders.

3. The content

The Quran text. The Arabic text comes from an approved provider. We never change it. We do not edit, shorten, re-spell or restyle it.

Translations. A translation is a published edition, shown exactly as published and credited to its translator and publisher. It is one scholar's effort to express the meaning in another language. It is not the original, and Muspace never presents it as the original or edits it. If an edition has an error, we report it to its publisher or choose another edition.

Insight. Explanations are summarised from published scholarship with the help of AI and checked against the cited works. They are not religious rulings. Every point names the scholar it comes from, and modern examples are labelled as examples. Muspace gives no fatwas and no personal religious, legal or medical advice. For a question about your own situation, please ask a qualified scholar you trust.

Sources and licences. The Quran text, translations and scholarly sources, with their licences and credits, are listed in "Sources and licences" in the app and at muspace.org/sources. We use each source only as its holder permits.

Mistakes. Mistakes can happen. Please tell us at muspace.org/support. We correct an error in Insight with a new version that replaces the old one.

Coverage. The full Quran is available to read. Insight covers a set of surahs that grows over time. Content can be added, corrected or removed in app updates.

Sharing. You may share what the app lets you share, such as an ayah reference, for personal, non-commercial use. Do not remove the credit that goes with shared content.

4. Acceptable use

Muspace has no comments, chat or posts. What you write yourself, such as a collection name, is visible only to you. If we add features that let people write for others, we will add rules for them first.

Please do not:

  • use Muspace to break the law or to harm, harass or deceive anyone;
  • use Muspace where sanctions or export laws forbid it;
  • copy, scrape or bulk-download the content, or build a competing product from it;
  • remove or hide credits and licence notices;
  • present Muspace's explanations, or a translation, as your own work or as scripture;
  • get into accounts, systems or data that are not yours, or interfere with how Muspace works;
  • reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

5. Accounts

This version of Muspace has no accounts. Your likes, saves and collections stay on your phone. If we add accounts, we will update these terms first.

6. Muspace is free

Muspace is free and has no ads. Version 1.0 has no payments, subscriptions or in-app purchases. If that changes, we will update these terms, and any price will be shown before you pay.

7. Changes and availability

We may change, add or remove features and content. We work to keep Muspace running, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors.

8. No warranty

To the extent the law allows, Muspace is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it is complete, accurate for your purpose or free of faults, and we give no warranties the law allows us to exclude.

9. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Cubeshell is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or goodwill. Because Muspace is free, our total liability for any claim about Muspace is limited to USD 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you are a consumer you keep the rights your local law gives you.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Muspace at any time by deleting the app. We may stop providing Muspace, or any part of it, with notice where we reasonably can.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and the effective date. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app first. If you keep using Muspace after that, you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. This does not remove any protection that the law where you live gives you as a consumer.

13. Trademarks

App Store is a trademark of Apple Inc. Google Play is a trademark of Google LLC.
